Ren Yoshitaka Ceramics Exhibition

Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1949. Studied under Dr. Shiro Banura. A kiln built in Iga Ueno in 1979. The earth mass is cut out and hollowed out to make pottery. In this exhibition, about 60 items will be exhibited, focusing on powerful vases, pots, and platters of baking and kiln change.

Born in Iga City, Mie Prefecture in 1953
In 1975, studied under Professor Mitsuo Tanimoto in Iga City.
In 1979, he built a kiln in Iga City with his husband Yoshitaka.

The work that floats an abstract sentence that combines the patterns of flowers and lines and surfaces gives softness to hard ceramics. Born in 1945, from Gifu Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Fine Arts in 1968. He worked on research and study of Persia pottery, and was also involved in training in Iran, the birthplace of Iran, and was active as a leading figure in Raster Aya. In this exhibition, about 90 works, mainly works of Raster Aya and pale blue glaze, will be exhibited.

Received the Foreign Minister's Commendation for his contribution to cultural exchange between Japan and Iran in 2014.

Yoshihiro Kondo Ceramics Exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the kiln

Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1945. He studied under Professor Fujio Koyama. The kiln was built in 1975 in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture. Utilizing firewood kilns, about 70 works featuring natural textures, such as Mino Karatsu, focusing on powder from climbing kilns, hole kilns, and snake kilns, will be exhibited.

Yoshihiro Kondo
[Brief History]
Born in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture in 1945.
In 1970, Yutaka Tazawa (art historian) introduced him to become an inner apprentice of Professor Fujio Koyama (a potter and ceramic scholar).
Engaged in the opening of the Hananogi Kiln by Dr. Fujio Koyama
In 1972, at the order of Fujio Koyama, he went to Tanegashima Island to learn the techniques of Tanegashima Island-yaki.
In 1975, the Hanzawa Kiln was opened in Hanbara, Hiyoshi-cho, Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture.
In 1995, he worked hard to establish the Mizunami Art Museum
