Shichigosan is the traditional event of Japan that survives the growth of your child. It is common for girls to visit shrines at the age of three or seven, and boys to visit shrines with their families when they are three or five years old. This is a three-year-old celebration that is said to have started with the ritual "Kamioki no Gi" which begins to shave hair and stretch hair. The style of matching a cloth with a festive dress is full of cuteness.

The five-year-old celebration is said to have been held during the Heian period, and it is said that the origin of the hakamagi ceremony, where a boy wears a hakama for the first time. Strong and auspicious designs such as helmets, hawks, and hammers are preferred.

It is said that the seven-year-old celebration originated from the Obitoki ceremony, a growth celebration ceremony that tightens the obi only after removing the string of kimonos from the Muromachi period. Coordinating with a gorgeous and cute impression and an adult look is popular.

■When are you ready for the 753?
It is recommended that you decide the item by about 90 days before the celebration because there are fried processing (adjusting dimensions).

If you want to wear a shrine pilgrimage kimono at Shichigosan, please bring it to the sales floor one month to one and a half months before the celebration date because it requires fried processing (adjusting dimensions). The processing period varies depending on the item, so please ask the sales clerk for details.

■Basic maintenance after wearing
Hang festive clothes, long undergarments, obis, etc. on a Japanese dress hanger, remove dust, and then dry it in a well-ventilated place for about a day.

■If you find stains or dirt
Ask an expert as soon as possible for care for sweat jimi, water jimi, mud scissors, sebum stains on collars and cuffs. Available at the Kimono Salon Shikkai Corner on the 11th floor.

■Basics of storage after care
Wrap the celebration clothes, long undergarments, and obi carefully, and wrap them one by one in tato paper. If you do not wear it for a while, we recommend that you remove the fried chicken. It is recommended to store it in a kimono closet with good breathability. Let's dry insects once every six months.
